Sparks flying (The agnostic shaman has a thought)

A friend of mine once said to me that as soon as he heard someone philosophising the nature of the universe and would say something like, what if the whole universe was on the toenail of a giant bigger than comprehension he would loose interest.

Wrestling with the meaning of life as a teen was awkward and I had no basis to understand. But I am beginning to think again about that giant. I saw a post on tumblr visually comparing a visualisation of the universe compared to a visualisation of a brain cell or nerve in the brain.

After exploring Zen and and other spiritual ideas I started to think. What if the big bang was a thought. Like the ones we see lighting up on MRI scans when we think or perform tasks.

Thoughts come and go and the universe is supposed to be expanding and then thought to one day contract. If like the atoms or smaller particles the planets might be merely building blocks of a thought.

Knowing my own mind I don’t think the being that is sparking our universe is aware of us in particular but I feel that we can do some good while we are here.

I read a lot about nature and spiritual awareness and feel that is our own task as part of this brainwave. Nature fosters life and all we seem to do is kill our planet. Nature is aligned to us in spirit but we have lost our way.

As you go on your own spiritual journey consider our task to build a sense of spiritual conciousness across the world. Then we may make a cascade of positivity that might turn into a concious thought and a positive one at that.

we have to work together and reach out to space and spread the positivity to other planets. And who knows all that positivity might lift the spirit of all the worlds that may live within us.

Don’t let our only legacy fizzle out.
